One of the 2004 Bone Bandits:
Seeing her pictures on Petfinder (below) guaranteed we would
adopt her. She got her nickname from our friend Cate who
insists that rather than a Pekingese, we have a slipper with
feet and a tongue. |

We
have no idea how old Rosie is, but our vet thinks she's about
13. She is nearly deaf and has severe dry eye, but when
her eyes are cleaned they are clear and sparkly. We hope
she has a few years left to share with us.

Meeting Zoey....
What is this and which end am I sniffing? |
The curse of the brachycephalic breeds...
the tongue is still long even if the face isn't. |
 |
Little girl with quite an attitude. As she gets more and
more comfortable, she is starting to show how she survived all
this time. She's getting around better too. |
 |
She has her own bulldog, Zoey, to look after her, although it's
easy to see that Rosie is in charge. In this case 13
pounds definitely trumps 64. Zoey steers clear of her and
Rosie thinks nothing of giving Zoey a "correction".
|
 |
Yep, Rosie's in charge. |
 |
This is just one of her beds. but it's next to Zoey, so
it's her favorite. |
|

|
After only a few weeks, she was looking like more of a young pup
than an old lady. She even bounces when she's excited
about her dinner. |
|

|
She only has eyes
for one toy... red dog. It's nearly as big as her and she
has spent many an hour using it as a pillow. Do not try to
take it away from her. Big mistake. Huge. |
 |
A
year later she was part of the BoneBandit Bunch, greeting the
trick or treaters with bells on. |
